  1. After the” discovery ” of libido, Freud reflected that there is another, somewhat opposite, instinct in man.

    If libido reflects a generalized desire for pleasure and pain avoidance, then destrudo / mortido means something like the desire for freedom and / or power (destruction and death as specific forms of its satisfaction).

    Further, this topic was not abandoned and developed, but the terms did not take root, and now in the psychoanalytic literature they write simply about innate aggression, which also passes through several nodal points in development, motivates behavior and constructively sublimates in a mature person.

    In addition, aggression is not necessarily understood as something hostile and destructive, it is only one of the forms of its implementation. There is also just destructive aggression (food consumption) and non-aggressive-non-destructive (ambition to achieve).
